Beginning Japanese Writing

This is a basic course for learning the 46 characters of Hiragana, a syllabic Japanese alphabet. It is the beginning point for anyone studying Japanese language.

Syllabus

This course has 12 Units.

Units 1-5: 5 characters each
Unit 6: Review
Units 7-11: 3 or 5 characters each
Unit 12: Review

I will run the course for 8 weeks. That is about a unit and a half a week, a very easy pace. I have seen people study and learn this information in as short as 2 weeks, with the pace of 5 characters a day.

Additional information

This is the first in a few basic Japanese classes I will do, so bear with me as we hit some unanticipated snags if they pop up.

So ... you should have read the basics and done the vowels. For people who want to finish quickly, the pace is 5 a day for 5 days, review, a day off and then rinse and repeat for the last 5 pages.

Go ahead and take pictures if you don't have a scanner. No problems at all with that tech.
