German for beginners (CEFR A1) 2012

Our goal in this class is reaching the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

After this class you will be able to:

Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.

Introduce yourself and others and be able to ask and answer questions about personal details such as where you live, people you know and things you have.

Interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

None, except for a genuine interest in learning German =) and Skype

Syllabus

We will have as many sessions as we need =)

Classes will be taught weekly and will take at least 1,5 hrs.

Classes take place on Saturdays, 8-9.30 PM BERLIN TIME

In order to pass this class I will request:

Active participation

Regular attendance (No more than 3 missed classes)

Passing a test at the end of the semester

"Hey guys, due to the fact that we were only 2 people last Saturday, I will offer a catch up class on last week's material. Many have missed the most important grammar class, and you won't be able to continue with this class, if we don't talk about the material. Some people already have 2 missed classes. Please not that you cannot miss more than 3 classes, otherwise you will be excluded from class. If you can make it to the catch up class, I will delete one missed class from my list.

I will give the class either Tuesday or Friday, same time as our regular classes, namely 20:00-21:30 German time. If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact me.

PS: The people who were there last Saturday are free to join, as attendance for the catch up class is not mandatory for you."
